March Series itinerary:
Day 1: We will be sewing drawstring pants in this series. Introduction to sewing machines, threading practice, and basic machine use. Overview of pattern packaging, pattern instructions, fabric types and vocabulary, needles, and thread.
Day 2: Tracing the pattern onto fabric and understanding pattern symbols. Cutting fabric, caring for fabric scissors, and working with muslin.
Day 3: Begin assembling pants using the sewing machine.
Day 4: Finish sewing the pants and if time allows, add the drawstring.
Please note: Light homework will be assigned between classes to reinforce skills and keep your project on track.

Beginners Learn to Sew Class Series
March Series—Registration OPEN begins Sunday, March 1, 2026 (meets four consecutive Sundays: 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd) from 12:00pm – 2:00pm
May Series—Registration OPEN begins Saturday, May 2, 2026 (meets four consecutive Saturdays: 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 23rd) from 4:00pm – 6:00pm
$129 for 8 hours of instruction.* You must be pre-registered to attend class.
Supplies are needed for the class. Sewing Students are entitled to a 10% discount on new machines and notions during enrollment. See the list here:
